This last week has been so crazy busy!! We have been sick and Jim is between Jobs and staying very busy. I have taken pictures of the deals that I have been blessed to aquire in the last couple of weeks but I have yet to find the energy to upload them. Also the last few days have been trying, to say the least. With Kaye's bouts of unending crying and Kris's constant demand for attention....I find that the days simply pass me by so frequently and with less of a head on my shoulders. I am usually quite exhausted at night. This last week it took me 2 days to put my grocery lists together...between taking care of poopy diapers, never ending laundry, and breastfeeding breaks, my time at night seems to just slip me by.
I have to say that I still strive to spend more time with my children each and every day. I need to find more things to do with Kris. She is tired of me having to take care of Kaye all the time. I think something special between Mommy and Kris is got to come to order!!
Today we did manage to go for a walk together. She loves riding in the stroller and looking around at all the sights.... I especially love hearing the..."Oh Wow!!" and "I see" of my little Toddling almost 2 year old. After our walk, I brought the girls into my parents house and I went out back to play with Kris for a few minutes. Mom and Dad have a fenced in back yard and I know that Kris loves to just roam around the yard, kicking the balls and playing!! I wish I could have stayed out longer but duty called.....well, actually, Kaye's demands called!! :) I did keep an eye on Kris from the window and she had a blast!!
Well, tonight it was quite interesting. While making dinner over at my parents house, Kris wanted Mommy's undivided attention. So she would run up to me and push me away from the sink or the stove. She just wanted mommy to spend time with her!! After I came to a stopping place, I sat down on the floor in the kitchen and Kris came over and sat down in my lap. We sat there for almost 5 minutes while she just "talked" and "sang" and cuddled with Mommy!! I love my little girls!! They are very special to me!! I pray that I can be the mommy that they need me to be!! Well, then we started on desert. I managed to pick up a Cinnamon Muffin mix from one of the local stores and we made muffins!! I took out all the ingredients and set them on the table. While my mom was sitting at the table, she missed too late that Kris had grabbed an egg. She has seen Mommy crack eggs on more than one occasion. So with her child like grip she tapped the egg on the chair....then proceded to land a perfect egg!! Of course I commended her on her perfect egg but admonished her to not touch the eggs unless mommy says she can. It was just too cute!! I should have taken a picture!! Well, dinner was finally ready and it was on the table. With our prayers said, we dug in. About halfway through the meal....Kris had fallen asleep. She didn't get much of a nap and it was past her bed time. It was just so cute!!
Well, Those are my stories for the night. Still trying to come up with a name for my new Website. Keeping my thoughts and ideas open.
Have a great Sunday and a great new week!! It is time for this Mommy to get to bed!!
I've been thinking and praying about a direction in my life for months. I've gone through different things in my life and not sure why but I feel that the Lord is leading me to share my experiences with you. Not sure where it will go but I will follow, simply trusting the Lord to lead me and Guide me.

Spending Time With My Children
Well, It certainly has been a while and I am still new at this thing. I am trying to figure out how to spend my most precious time with my children!! A lot of these other things seem to fall by the way side as I spend time with my beautiful children. I plan to share some insights and thoughts, from a Christian perspective of course, and also in the future may share some other things, such as recipes, deals, and other such things.
I want to say that I am thankful that I live in America....the land of the free and the home of the brave!! If it wasn't for the sacrifices of those men and women who sacrificed everything to secure our freedom....from our founding fathers to our current military personnel. Their sacrifice gives me the opportunity to raise my children, as a stay at home mom, and spend quality time with them.
I have two beautiful children. One is almost 2 and the youngest is 3 months. It is amazing to me how fast the children will grow up. It seems like yesterday I was bringing home my oldest from the hospital!! I have to say that being a stay at home mom requires alot of hard work and I find that there are times I stay just as busy taking care of my children as I would working outside of the home. Lately though, I have decided that, while keeping the house clean is a noble idea....it doesn't always happen. It won't always happen. Although to me....If it isn't immaculate than it is trashed. However, having a newborn and a toddler all under the age of 2, cleaning has become more main stream. I find that I do what I can to keep things neat and I spend the rest of my day enjoying my children. I will always have time to clean my house....my children, however, will not be around forever!! They will grow up!! So I've decided that the more time I spend investing in my children, the better off they will be. I can worry about a spotless house later on. For now my job is to enjoy my children and take care of their needs. Does that mean my house is trashed all the time? No not always but sometimes yes. I do what I can to keep it as clean as possible so as to not be overwhelmed. The rest of my time I focus on children. Of course I do get some time for myself. I would be so overwhelmed if I didn't get some time to myself!! Both girls go to be about the same time every night (early bedtime too!! I will save this one for another post!) and I get the rest of the evening to myself or to spend time with my husband. It works out just great for us!!
I love playing with my toddler!! I certainly look forward to play time every day!! She loves playing with her toys and so we will hunker down and play with blocks, dolls, and such. I just love how she will come and sit down in my lap and just play with her toys and talk with me!! It is a joy and a blessing to have this awsome opportunity and priviledge!! Although I have to say this...to many times today Parents allow their children to play with toys way above their age. I plan to homeschool our children and we also have a large church so I know that my children will get plenty of interaction with children their own age. I have even gone as far as to inform family members of things to NOT get my children. I am not into all these child stars, barbies, etc. They capitalize on a "sex" driven culture that I want to keep my children from as long as I can. Also, we limit television usage. We are not big on watching TV ourselves and therefore limit what the children watch as well. As a Christian, I think that this is most important thing we can do for our family. Some people may say that I am sheltering my children from the world. Yes, I may be. However I have realized that some things are never meant for a child to know about. Some things are meant to be discussed with a child at a later age in life. This is also a big reason for us deciding to homeschool our children. I love Christian Education and I also know that there is a need for Public Education, however Progressive or the new word today is "Populust" it has become. There are much things still taught in our Public schools that I don't want to expose my children to. They need to grow up first and then when they are old enough to start asking questions about different issues than I will talk to them about those issues. Being ever faithful too to teach them the fundamentals, or basics, if you will, of the Christian Faith. Therefore the best thing that I can do for my children is to play with them, interact with them, and teach them all about the home and family and our Faith.
Well, so today has come to an end and I have loved spending my day with my children. Whether it be playing or napping!!
